What is the “R&D 2026” program?
It is a BIOPROGEM initiative designed to promote research, development, and innovation (R&D) in companies through specialized advisory services and project development.

 

Who can apply?
Individuals and companies of any size interested in research and development activities.

 

Is there a minimum or maximum company size required?
No. Companies of any size are eligible to apply.

 

Which industries are eligible?
Livestock, food and beverages, packaging, fermented products, skincare/dermatology, waste valorization, and biotechnology.

 

How do I apply?
By completing the online application form within the specified deadline.

 

What is the selection process?
The process has three stages:

• Application form review
• Evaluation video call
• Winner notification and project kickoff

 

What is evaluated during the video call?
Company activities, opportunities for improvement, strengths, technical needs, and project feasibility.

 

How many applicants will be selected?
Up to four supports will be granted:

• 2 scholarships with up to 60% discount
• 2 financing supports with up to 80% funding

 

What does the financial support include?
A combination of scholarship (up to 50%) and loan-based financing (up to 30%), defined during the interview.

 

How long is the support valid?
The support applies for up to 7 months of work with BIOPROGEM.

 

Which service packages are eligible?
Initial Package, Research Package, and Complete Package.

 

What commitments do selected companies have?
Providing project information, dedicating up to 1.5 hours per day for communication, covering materials, and allowing project documentation with prior authorization.

 

Does BIOPROGEM cover materials or shipping costs?
No. All materials, raw materials, tests, and shipping costs must be covered by the selected company.

 

How many work hours does BIOPROGEM provide?
BIOPROGEM provides 10 specialized work hours per week (non-cumulative), depending on the selected package.

 

When do projects start?
Projects officially begin on February 23, 2026, after the initial interview and project plan definition.

 

What happens at the end of the support period?
BIOPROGEM delivers the progress achieved up to that point, and the free collaboration ends.
